“Don’t give in to your Fear of Flight and you’ll fly”
This was where professionals gathered, this room where careers were made. The courage to approach anyone in the room, however, escaped him, his bravery oozing from his pours.
He was surrounded by smiling giants, true powerhouses in their fields. He wanted their respect, but also knew he didn’t need it. Want and need are different, but often the wants overwhelm the need’s reality.
The sweat ran down his cheek. He wouldn’t dare introduce himself now, as his handshake would be clammy for sure. Would a fist bump suffice? It would have to in this case.
Then it came to him. What did he have to worry about? They either say no, or they say yes. In either situation, he’d still be him. He’d still be surrounded by beauty unsurpassed by the business in from of him.
And then she walked in, just as beautiful as days prior. She recognized him, smiled, and walked over. He straightened his tie, wiped his hand on his jacket, and held it out.
“So nice to meet you. I’m a huge fan of your’s,” she said.
His walls melted and the rest of the evening was like a dream.

WHERE IT BEGAN
“Fear of Flight” was created as a challenge, but grew into an amazing song. You’ll notice the first take was much more timid and scared, whereas the final cut is more aggressive, taking on that fear head-on. Also the beat has more variation I the final version.
